Mae Daf y gath yn teimlo’n unig iawn.
Mae pawb wedi gadael. Dim ond hi sydd ar ôl.
Mae hi’n gweld eisiau ei chwaer. Mae Jeff wedi diflannu heb ddweud gair wrth Daf.
Does dim mwy o hwyl i’w gael. Does dim rhagor o anturiaethau i fynd arnyn nhw. Mae pryder Daf yn codi, ac mae hi’n dechrau gorymbincio. Mae hi’n colli pwysau a cholli ffwr.
Yn sydyn, mae hi’n clywed y fflap cathod.
Dyma Jeff y gath, ac mae hi wedi dod i arwain Daf i gartref y staff newydd.
— O’t ti’n meddwl ‘swn i’n gadel ti ar ben dy hunan? medd Jeff.
— O’n.
— Y dwpsen.
Mae Daf yn troi’r goleuadau bant a dilyn Jeff trwy’r fflap cathod.
Cyn bo hir, maen nhw’n cyrraedd tŷ’r staff newydd, lle mae moethusrwydd a chariad. Mae Daf yn nerfus wrth iddi fynd i mewn, ond mae hi’n ymlacio’n raddol wrth iddi ddod i adnabod y staff.
Fydd ddim angen mynd ar deithiau seicedelig bellach.
— Jeff… medd Daf.
— Be tisie nawr? gofyn Jeff.
— Pam fod octopws o dan y gwely?
Y DIWEDD

Saesneg / English
Goodbye, Dave
Dave the cat feels very lonely.
Everyone has left. Only she is left.
She misses her sister. Jeff has disappeared without saying a word to Dave.
There is no more fun to be had. There are no more adventures to go on. Dave’s anxiety rises, and she begins to overgroom. She is losing weight and losing fur.
Suddenly, she hears the cat flap.
It’s Jeff the cat, and she has come to lead Dave to the new staff’s home.
— Did you think I’d leave you on your own?’ says Jeff.
— Yes.
— You idiot.
Dave turns off the lights and follows Jeff through the cat flap.
Before long, they arrive at the new staff’s house, where there is luxury and love. Dave is nervous as she goes in, but she gradually relaxes as she gets to know the staff.
There will be no need to go on psychedelic trips any more.
— Jeff… says Dave.
— What d’you want now? asks Jeff.
— Why is there an octopus under the bed?
