Taking the reins
Having discovered that slugs are a good way to distract the famous Owain Glyndŵr from running around the garden whenever he hears the words “lap of honour”, Saint David and Jeff the cat are wondering how to transport the big eejit to London for the coronation of King Bigears.
– How about we make a splendid hat like the ones from Australia? asked Jeff. – We could hang slugs around the brim instead of corks.
– Poor slugs, says Saint David.
– But we have to keep him under control somehow.
Saint Non has an idea.
– Use Dewi’s reins, she said, fumbling in her handbag. – They were very useful when he was a toddler.
Saint David blushes.
