Mae’r tatws wedi cynnal etholiad er mwyn dewis Prifdaten newydd.
– Pam dych chi’n gwneud hynny? gofynna Daf y gath.
– Mae hi fel greddf, meddai un daten. – Wrth i’r tymhorau newid, ‘dyn ni’n newid ein harweinydd.
– Ond pam?
– Does neb yn gwbod. Mae hi wastod wedi bod fel ‘na.
Ar lwyfan fechan, mae taten yn dechrau gwneud araith.
– FI YW’R PRIFDATEN NEWYDD, meddai’r Prifdaten newydd. – MAE RHAID I NI UNO FEL BYDDIN. BYDD UNRHYW WRTHWYNEBWR YN CAEL EI SAETHU.
– Felly, does dim byd wedi newid, meddai Daf y gath.
– Dim o gwbl, meddai’r daten. – Ond mae’n gwneud i bawb deimlo fel ein bod ni’n symud ymlaen mewn rhyw ffordd.

Election
The potatoes have held an election to choose a new Prime Potato.
– Why do you do that? asks Dave the cat.
– It’s like an instinct, said one potato. – As the seasons change, we change our leader.
– But why?
– Nobody knows. It has always been like that.
On a small stage, a potato is beginning to make a speech.
– I AM THE NEW PRIME POTATO, said the new Prime Potato. – WE MUST UNITE AS AN ARMY. ANY OPPONENT WILL BE SHOT.
– So, nothing has changed, said Dave the cat.
– Not at all, said the potato. – But it makes everyone feel like we are moving forward in some way.
