Unwaith iddyn nhw gyrraedd y blaned Mawrth, sylweddolodd Daf taw Jeff oedd yn hollol gywir. Doedd dim bwyd. Roedd llwch ym mhobman, a diffyg llwyr o catnip. Ac nid oedd dim ond un tun o fwyd cathod ganddynt, er mwyn cadw’r pwysau’n isel.
– Be ni’n mynd i neud nawr? gofynnodd Jeff.
– Sai’mod, sdim tanwydd ar ôl i ni, meddai Daf.
– Reit. Well i ni goncro’r blaned, ‘te.
– Ond sdim byd i goncro.
– Gallwn ni goncro’r llwch.
Concrodd Daf bach o lwch yn ddigalonnus.

Dave and Jeff in space, part 5
Once they arrived on Mars, Daf realised that Jeff was absolutely right. There was no food. There was dust everywhere, and a complete lack of catnip. And they only had one tin of cat food, to keep the weight down.
– What are we going to do now? asked Jeff.
– Dunno, we’ve dot no fuel left, said Dave.
– Right. We’d better conquer the planet, then.
– But there’s nothing to conquer.
– We can conquer the dust.
Dave conquered a bit of dust glumly.
